Heavy Duty Aftermarket Retractable Side Stand, with a Black Epoxy Finish.
The stand is far superior to the original and attaches directly to the frame, simple to operate even when sitting on your machine!
This version fits /5, /6 and /7 models which have the gear lever that mounts directly into the gearbox. From September 1977, BMW fitted a gear lever that pivoted on the footrest instead of fitting directly into the gearbox; if you have this type, please see StandSide599EDL (please note also, you can retrofit the later gear lever and linkage to an early bike by fitting that stand).
Please note you will need to remove your existing left hand footrest rubber and fit it to the Surefoot. Alternatively new rubbers are available, our part no is Footrest428 for the early round style or Footrest660 for the rectangular.
