Gearshift Cotter Pin, 8mm M6.

To remove the shift lever pin loosen the nut until it is flush with the pin and spray some WD40 or equivalent onto the pin. Tap on the nut to loosen the pin. You can apply a little heat from a heat gun or propane torch to the shift lever to help free up the pin.

Application Table

To remove the kick starter pin (23 51 1 056 124), loosen the nut until it is flush with the pin. Spray some WD40 or equivalent on to the pin. Tap on the nut to loosen the pin. You can apply a little heat from a heat gun or propane torch to the kick starter to help free up the pin. Some old bicycle shops may have a c-clamp tool to help remove a tapered pin.
